The Samsung Galaxy A12 launched in December 2020 as the ‘Entry level smartphone’ It boasted its quality quad camera with a large battery to meet users’ needs. While some six months later the Samsung Galaxy A22 was released in June 2021 delivering ‘ultra-fast speeds’ and awesome innovation for the entry-level smartphone which while both devices remained affordable left a lot of consumers confused between the two so what is the difference between the Samsung Galaxy A12 and the Samsung Galaxy A22?
The Samsung Galaxy A22 comes in slightly lighter and thinner with an improved camera but the Samsung Galaxy A12 has a faster CPU speed by over ten per cent and has 1.49GB more memory bandwidth so let's take a look at some of the specifications side by side.

While we struggle to see any major differences in key specifications both smartphones are cheap and reliable for the entry-level consumer. Both of the smartphones are neither dustproof, waterproof nor have a Gorilla glass display so to avoid potentially paying for a costly display break I'll be adding a Nano glass screen protector to the A12 and A22.
